A short film about loneliness, connection, and the things waiting for you at the bottom of a porta potty.

Shot in the summer of 2026, DORIS is an absurdist comedy about a lonely man who drops his phone into a porta potty and discovers a mysterious blue creature living beneath the chemical surface. What follows is a filthy little friendship that somehow becomes the cleanest thing in his life.

The film stars Stuart Confer, was directed by Michael Maciolek, and was shot and edited by myself.

Since emerging from the blue depths, DORIS has been selected for multiple film festivals, proving once again that friendship can be found anywhere.
